Catherine has been appointed Vice President of Bookmark Canada . Founded by Miranda Hill, Bookmark Canada is a non-profit organization that seeks to mark the real places that serve as the settings for imagined stories, taking the text from the page and placing it in actual geography, marking places where the real and imagined landscapes merge. Current advisors to the project include: Molly Peacock, Lawrence Hill, Tina Srebotnjak, Denis Deneau, Richard Bachman and Elana Rabinovitch.

Catherine was interviewed on television - Cogeco's program Main Street - as part of their One-on-One series with Lana Richardson.

Catherine was one of three judges (Rachel Zolf, Simon Ortiz) for the 5th annual poetry prize Hart House Review on behalf of the Hart House Literary and Library Committee, U of T.

Catherine helped judge the 1st Annual Art and Essay Contest launched by the Canadian Mental Health Association Halton Branch and the Acts of Kindness Network.

Catherine's fascination with dolls has worked its way, creatively, into a growing sequence of doll poems. These doll poems are published in her first poetry book, Pupa (Insomniac Press). Incidentally, pupa means doll in Latin.
