Our first meeting was held at Henry's house (2003-04 chair).  Here we are discussing this year's agenda and hashing out some details.

A Canadian astronaut, Dave Williams (centre -- suit), made a presentation at the joint ASM/SAE/CASI/CMAS meeting at Carleton University.  Here are all the student's that attended.
 

Here is a close-up of Dr. Williams during his presentation.  The meeting was very well attended and the presentation was excellent.

After dinner during our October meeting, our chapter presented some student awards for excellence in academics relating to materials.  From left to right: C. Sager (Queens student winner), C. Our first meeting this year was a joint one between ASM and SAE.  The speaker was Dr. Fred Major who presented "Aluminum Automotive Castings".  Over 40 people turned out for an informative talk.  From left to right: H. Saari (ASM), F. Major (speaker), R. Provencher (SAE).
 

We held the annual Student Poster Night at Queen's this year and we had 10 student posters in 2 categories (undergrad & grad).  The judges: J. Day (ASM), B. Diak (Queen's), and A. Lockley (AECL) choose C. Sager (undergrad), D. Dudzinski (grad), and S. McLaughlin (best overall) as the winners.  Congratulations to all those who participated and received a free student ASM membership.   Shown here are the student participants, and judges.
