An ASM trustee came to give a technical talk on
the World Trade Centre to
our chapter in October and beforehand he was able to participate in our executive meeting.

Our first meeting this year was a joint one
between ASM and SAE. The speaker was Dr. Fred Major who presented
"Aluminum Automotive Castings". Over 40 people turned out

We held the annual Student Poster Night at
Queen's this year and we had 10 student posters in 2 categories (undergrad
& grad). The judges: J. Day (ASM), B. Diak (Queen's), and A.
Lockley (AECL) choose C. Sager (undergrad), D. Dudzinski (grad), and S.
McLaughlin (best overall) as the winners. Congratulations to all
those who participated and received a free student ASM
