This is what greeted the impressionable frosh as they arrived at Leonard Hall residence on move-in day, Sept. 2008. Frosh were subjected to an unsolicited 3-microphone running commentary, often personal, often sexually suggestive, boomed out over huge loudspeakers on a Collingwood St. front lawn, in contravention (we allege) of the city's noise bylaw and the liquor laws. In our view, the promotion of a culture of drinking to arriving underage frosh contributes ultimately to the Homecoming Aberdeen St. lawlessness and a diminished quality of life for our neighbourhood.
