| Focuser
It soon became apparent that the focuser supplied with the scope was of low quality. We replaced it with a used, but better quality, VEGA 2" / 1 1/4" focuser. Although adapting the scope was a bit of a chore, we thank Ann Tekatch for quickly providing what we needed at the right price.

| Eyepieces
While the provided Plossl eyepieces were adequate, good quality ep's will dramatically improve a scope's performance - and they don't get much better than the Pentax XL line: 65 degree AFOV and 20mm eye relief. 21mm = 57X ( 114X barlowed) 7mm
= 171 X ( 343X barlowed)

Hardin Optics 12" Dobsonian
This scope is probably the largest practical size for an urban backyard observatory The fact it's a dob makes it a great value |
