The Future of Human Kind Just for fun, lets do a very simple geometric exercise:
Take a blank piece of paper and trace two straight lines intersecting at one point (X style).
Actually those are only segments of lines. Lines would really extend directly to infinity, in both directions.
You could design another line intersecting at the same point as the other two.
Theoretically that point is the center of the infinite universe.
Actually any point at all can be considered the center point of the Universe , as lines departing from it will go on for ever! Simple!
You can make a circle around that center and divide it in 360 degrees as per normal convention.
Segments of lines can be drawn intersecting every one of these 360 degrees. Imagine those segments going all the way to infinity!
You could also go half degrees and design 720 lines all intersecting through the same point!
Again, in theory, you can imagine an infinite number of lines, all crossing the same point and going on forever, extending further and further away from each other.
And that is only in a two dimensional piece of paper. The same thing applies to a sphere!
All it really means is that, if you had a suitable vehicle, you could travel along in a straight line, in an infinite number of directions in our infinite universe forever and ever...
Wow! What could you find? Stars, planets, Galaxies, maybe even other universes... an infinite number of them.
Would you find life? - Far, far away, yes almost for sure.
What about intelligent life? - With an infinite number of possibilities, and an infinite number of possible combinations of environmental conditions and elements? - Possibly, maybe, but not at all for sure.
The capacity to REASON, could be very, very rare outside of earth. That possibility makes it precious!
That is why we must continue to improve, and strive to eventually spread amongst the stars.
Go!!! Go, before some new catastrophe does to the humans the same thing that an old one did to the dinosaurs.
But, before going, stop and Think:
Humans must become very Civilized, utterly good, caring, responsible for each others happiness.
Otherwise "to go forth and multiply", still being as we are today, would be to spread the ugly diseases of war and fear through the pure Universe.
Our Pollution alone, makes of us a sickness that threatens any planet. As we are, we humans, constitute an infection not a blessing. A sick virus, not a flower. A destructive force, not an improvement.
Millions of years of invented gods, religions, rituals have failed to make Saints of us.
Political schemes, codes of conduct, commandments, are all failing to move "Us" forward as fast as our technologies are advancing.
The percentage of "Good People" alive today is higher then that it has ever been and growing.
Don't believe it? Well, a million years ago there were only "beasts". One hundred per cent of Humans were savages! Nothing more.
How about one thousand years ago? Compare that to today!
Maybe everything is progressing has best as it can, but it is possible that we can "travel out" before we are spiritually ready.
My formula: It is very Simple! (and was stated many times before through the ages, and mostly ignored!)
So, once more with -lots of- feeling:
- Stay away from fanaticism in any form, some Priests and Shamans that will only dominate your soul, not elevate it.
- Avoid greedy people. Kings and Potentates that will dominate you, enrich themselves and trample the "unfortunate".
- Empathize, learn, grow.
- Be Good to yourself and all the others.
The Human Race is actually in a race to become really Human!
