My wife and I found the restaurant, a vintage 1850's home, the soul of intimacy with perhaps only a dozen tables. It was also a bit of a dining adventure. As we discussed the menu with Jarm she boasted a little bit about some of the compliments she had received from other people who raved about her garlic bread. I thought, "Astounding garlic bread? What can be so wonderful about garlic bread?" Jarm's garlic bread is the best garlic bread in the world. End of story. Your meal has been designed and prepared by someone who is absolutely dedicated to the wonders of Central European cuisine. You will receive succulent meats, hearty sauces, and perfect pastries. I can offer no better compliment to the meal than to say that, two days later, we changed our dinner plans at a very swanky restaurant in Niagara-on-the-Lake to return to the Red Chateau for a second helping. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals and heartily recommend this gem to anyone who understands and appreciates good food. 5 stars for an excellent hidden gem! Try this restaurant once and you will be back. Prices are also very reasonable. We need more restaurants like this in Niagara.
