Q Outside of the haiku world, who else is really interested in the form?

A search of the Internet will reveal an enormous number of haiku sites, more than for any other form of poetry. Perhaps better evidence for the widespread acceptance of the haiku is shown by the number of general periodicals, mainstream publishing houses, newspapers and radio and television stations that have given space and time to the haiku.
