The focus of Space Bop is obscure and esoteric music that might not otherwise be heard - primarily electronic, experimental, early D.I.Y., pub rock, punk, new wave, neue Deutsche welle, film soundtrack, dance or performance music, exotica, lounge core, garage... but mostly music with a sense of humour and a sense of adventure!  Our goal is to expose our listeners to interesting music that they likely won't hear anywhere else!

The playlist revolves around a specific theme for each show, sometimes to profile individual artists, groups, producers, or record labels.  From time to time, we will do profiles of specific musical sub-genres of particular interest.  And of course there are always special holiday theme shows (Christmas, Halloween, etc.)

Aside from offbeat music, we also enjoy offbeat films and video!
