Yes, it's non-stop film festival season
here in Montreal, so we're back to soundtrack shows...This week, we're
featuring electronic soundtracks. New sounds, old media (or is that old
sounds, new media?) These tracks are actually fairly ageless. It does
seem that films using electronic scores always have futuristic,
extraterrestrial, horror or violence as themes. It could be the nature
of the sounds they make, but in our new digital world, it's becoming
more and more difficult to tell the real instrument from the
electronic... Enjoy!
