maple flower pod on a long stem. The red is the natural
colour often found in this species of maple. From
the heartwood of a tree uprooted by the wind, near Gracefield Quebec.

It is a graphic representation of talking in circles
without ever getting to the point! The rich
afrormosia wood is from Africa and is complimented by the brown soapstone.

Anthemion 812
What a spectacular wood! I picked up a few small chunks of it
and it is birds'eye, but I don't know what species. The edges of the
"leaves" were the only part pierced to preserve the natural beauty of the
wood. The patterns in the wood are picked up in similar patterns
in the soapstone. 6" high.

give a very airy and lacy appearance. The rich brown of the black
walnut is picked up in a brown speckle in the soapstone.

Cameroon. The sails taper from 3/4" to a thin forward edge.
